Leavittinlove Review ~ 5 RVD Steal Seaside Smashing Success Stars!!!!!
STEAL is an emotional second chance romance that has the mark of RVD all over it. This book is full of angst, regret, forgiveness, sexual tension, and basically just THE FEELS galore! I devoured the story of Angelica Greene & Will Sutherland, former child star and rockstar respectively.
*This is a total standalone as I am new to the Seaside Pictures series, and found it not necessary to have read them, however I plan to rectify that IMMEDIATELY as the glimpses into Linc & Zane have me needing to know their stories too*
Angelica has a very ungraceful fall from her child stardom, and finds herself in Seaside, with the former love of her life Will, as her agent. (<– Rockstar to Agent, more on that to follow) There is a ton of “hate” thrown around by the both of them, in an attempt to keep their walls up and each other out. Their friends and family plan an integral role in bringing out the truths from these two, and I applaud Rachel’s creative ideas on accomplishing this.
This love story is full of emotional depth, and was something I was deeply craving over a long holiday weekend. When they were able to strip away layers of the sadness, pain, and anger they had been carrying around is when we see a real turning point.
There were definitely some funny moments, thanks to marshmallows, Disney sing-alongs, bonfires, and amazing friends. I cant recommend this enough, so pack your bags and head to Seaside, where love is in the water!
Blurb~ Steal, the follow-up standalone rockstar romance to the #1 New York Times Bestseller Keep…
It’s easy to lose yourself in someone you love.
Easier to lose yourself in someone you hate…
I didn’t think it could get any worse than having to babysit a bunch of spoiled musicians on set ― keeping them out of trouble is a cakewalk compared to seeing my ex every day.
Seaside, Oregon isn’t big enough for the both of us.
She hates me.
I loathe her.
The plan was simple ― stay the hell away and make sure she gets to set on time.
What I didn’t expect was to be faced with our past in front of an audience ― and be forced to face it again.
The way she looks at me.
The way I try to look through her.
Words left unsaid.
The lingering aftermath still as powerful as ever.
I feed the chasm between us, for fear that she’ll make me feel again ― and steal the last shred of heart I have left.
We have everything but each other.
It’s not enough.
Not when you’ve lost love.
And replaced it with the only thing left ― hate.
