“FIVE SINFUL, BOSSY, BOOK-LOVING STARS”
Emma, if you’re reading this one (OMG you’ve found my blog <gasp>) and two your mind and imagination are a BEAUTIFUL thing! I thought how is she going to get these two “Enemies” who don’t even know each other, to an HEA. I should have feared NOT! The story begins with the heroin, Dahlia returning from her father’s funeral, to multiple attempts of a competitor <read total A-hole> trying to purchase her bar. Unfortunately for him, he severely underestimated her knowledge, passion, and desire to continue on her family’s legacy with this bar.
Detour: the premise of this bar, The Scarlet Letter, is absolutely genius, and a book-lovers dream! Imagine a bar where there are little reading nooks all over, and a wide variety of books for you to come in and read, and still be social/drink amazing cocktails all the the same time. Can we PLEASE open this concept immediately, LOVE!
The chemistry between Dahlia and Damien runs thick from the get go, and is fueled by lifelong family drama. I actually enjoyed Damien’s persistence and Dahlia’s quick wit, they were a perfect match. Their relationship quickly begins to build on trust, which was the turning point in the story for me.
“Because,” he said, his lips bare centimeters from mine, ” for some peculiar reason, I trust you”
The side characters add a ton to the story, and this book concludes with a torturous LUST (Book 2) teaser. We meet Damien’s sister Perrie, who is a a spitfire, and also Dahlia’s bff Abby, who I hope to see more of.
It goes without saying that this is packed with Emma’s wit/charm/ and un-paralleled secy times. I can’t say it enough that this is a must read and only $.99 cents right now!!
Damien fox lived up to his name. Cunning, sly, and dangerous, fifty percent of Vegas’ strip clubs were his.
Whatever he wanted, money, attention, women, he got.
And now he wanted to buy my bar, no matter the cost.
I wanted him to go to hell on a first-class ticket.
He played a dirty game, and I followed his rules. I let him think he would win.
Despite our differences, it was clear to see that we were no more than two broken hearts colliding in the darkness.
Closed off, sexy, and holding a pain that would crush a lesser man, he was the ultimate sin.
One I couldn’t deny myself, even though I knew better than to trust a fox…
(SIN is book one of the Vegas Nights series. Each book in this series is a standalone novel.)
By day, New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to two beautiful little monsters. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of whatever she fancies—usually wine—and writes books.
Emma is working on Top Secret projects she will share with her followers and fans at every available opportunity. Naturally, all Top Secret projects involve a dashingly hot guy who likes to forget to wear a shirt, a sprinkling (or several) of hold-onto-your-panties hot scenes, and a whole lotta love.
She likes to be busy—unless busy involves doing the dishes, but that seems to be when all the ideas come to life.
